When setting up and registering your company in France, one of the first and most essential tasks to get your business off the ground is to open up a French bank account. This sounds like an easy procedure but the French administration can sometimes makes it strict. Luckily for our clients and thanks to our knowledge and experience of local banking regulations, we reduce any difficulties in opening a French bank account for foreign investors and entrepreneurs.

With our strong relationships with major French banking groups, our bilingual experts can guide you through the process – making sure you have all the required documentation and setting up appointments so that delays are kept to the minimum. We take care of all the paperwork involved in setting up a business bank account and are on hand to answer any questions to make sure our clients progress as quickly and successfully as possible through the system. And with our banking contacts we can negotiate a low minimum turnover threshold for your business account.

We can open bank accounts both remotely and in person and if you do not speak French, we have a local representatives on hand to assist you in person through any meetings. And when it comes to making your share capital deposit we can help sort out a workable amount for your business. The previous share capital for opening a business account used to be €7,500 for a SARL but luckily that’s now been reduced and can be negotiated.

We have also partnered up with a well-regarded private French bank which allows us to open business bank accounts for foreign entrepreneurs more quickly and smoothly than the high street banks and includes all banks transfers, debit cards, card processing and ebanking - with one of the lowest fees for any business bank in France. The ebanking system can even allow you to attach invoices to payments to help your accounting.

The French have a world-class banking network and there’s a wide range of financial institutions with expertise in arranging international financial transactions and transfers. On top of commercial bank loans, there’s also plenty of tax and subsidy incentives for new and innovative companies so be sure to check with your tax advisor or accountant. We have highly qualified chartered accountants to help you should you need a consultation.
